Artwork inspired by Charley Harper's cat is now paying homage to another beloved feline over 2,000 miles away.
"Calico Cat Tile" has been spotted at the Magic Key Terrace at Disneyland's California Adventure Park. Motawi Tileworks crafted the hand-painted tile piece, which was adapted from one of Harper's paintings of his cat Katrinka, according to an Instagram account dedicated to the late Cincinnati-based American modernist.

The members-only Magic Key Terrace was fully remodeled earlier this year and, according to Disneyland News Today, incorporates cat-centric artwork as an homage to Nutmeg, one of the amusement park's feral cats. The restaurant also has a cocktail named after the resort pet.
A social media search turns up several photos of Harper's adapted piece and its new muse, Nutmeg.
Harper was born in West Virginia in 1922 and moved to Cincinnati to study art at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He met his wife, fellow artist Edie McKee, in the Queen City and remained here until his death in 2007. He became famous for his wildlife prints, posters and book illustrations.
