The Florence Police Department is investigating a vehicle collision that occurred early Sunday morning on Burlington Pike near the intersection of Commerce Drive.According to officials, upon arrival, officers discovered that a car had collided with a pedestrian in the left westbound lane of Burlington Pike.Through investigation, it was discovered that the Ford Focus was traveling westbound on Burlington Pike in the left lane as the pedestrian was walking south across Burlington Pike.The Ford Focus was unable to stop before colliding with the pedestrian.Florence EMS attended to the pedestrian, who was then transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by ambulance.The pedestrian is listed in critical condition.Neither the driver nor passenger of the Focus sustained any injuries.The names of those involved in the collision have not been released.
