Bengals fans partner with Toys for Tots to spread holiday cheer


Hosting the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the Bengals were looking to avenge this year's loss in the first Battle of Ohio.The Who Dey nation was on hand early to cheer on their team and spread some holiday cheer for those in need. On this final home game before Christmas, Bengals fans partnered with Toys for Tots to share the holiday cheer.Cherie Gentry, from Toys for Tots, says Bengals fans always come through.“It is amazing because every toy counts. And If I can just help one family that was like me back in the ’90s, then it's worth it for the whole year,” Gentry said.Fans collected new and unwrapped toys to be distributed to area children.Bengal Jim's game day tailgate is a collection point for Bengal Fans' holiday giving. "Fifteen hundred of our friends and family here today, 600 toys yesterday we filled that bus up with," Bengal Jim said. Like so many goal line drives this year, Bengal Jim says these fans and this team finding a way to win on the field and off. “Nothing brings this city together like the Cincinnati Bengals. This team is special, they love each other, they play for each other, you can feel that in the stands, and they relate to us. The fans and the team are one right now.”
