Poor decision for Cincinnati to challenge Mike Evans’ catch

Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers catches the ball during the first quarter

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor challenged the ruling of a pass completion on Tom Brady's pass to Mike Evans on 4th-and-1 during the first quarter of Sunday's Week 15 win against the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.

CBS color analyst Tony Romo called the challenge a "poor decision." The replay official upheld the call made on the field of a catch by Evans.

The first quarter ended with the Bucs leading 3-0, but threatening to score. Brady threw a touchdown pass to Russell Gage Jr. early in the second quarter to give Tampa a 10-0 lead.

"This is the best start I've seen the Buccaneers have all year," Romo added after the Bucs' touchdown.

"Is this the same team that was down 28-0 at the half last week to the Niners?" play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz added.
