ABOUT $1,000 WORTH OF PRESENTS FOR HER SON WERE IN THE TRUNK. SHE DOES NOT WANT TO BE IDENTIFIED BECAUSE AS A CRIME VICTIM, SHE’S STILL SHAKEN UP. THESE PHOTOS SHOW THE KIA SPORTAGE WRECKED IN STRIPPED JUST BLOCKS AWAY. AFTER OUR STORY AIRED OF GIFTS AND CASH POURED IN FROM FORMER SAINTS COACH SEAN PAYTON TO THE MARINES, THAT WORK WITH TOYS FOR TOTS, ORGANIZERS, THEY’VE ALREADY HELPED SO MANY KIDS ACROSS OUR AREA IN NEW. THEY HAD TO MAKE ROOM FOR ONE MORE. I SAW THE ARTICLE. I THOUGHT, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE ALL THESE TOYS THAT WE’RE GETTING READY TO GIVE OUT TO CHILDREN. YOU KNOW, I WISH THERE WAS AN OPPORTUNITY I COULD REACH OUT TO HER DIRECTLY. WE WANTED TO GET TOGETHER A GOOD RANGE OF ITEMS. SO WE GOT BOOKS, ARTS, CRAFTS, ITEMS AT, TOYS APPROPRIATE FOR A BOY, AND ALSO A SCOOTER. ONE OF OUR VIEWERS, KATHY VOCE, A GRANDMOTHER HERSELF, JUST SO HAPPENED TO HAVE EXTRA BABY YODA IN TOW. SHE SAID ALL THE TOYS ARE GONE. AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M GOING TO DO. AND EVEN THE BABY YODA IS GONE. AND AT THAT POINT, BABY YODA, I REALIZE, SAID, I HAVE A BABY YODA, GENTLY USED IN LOVE. SHE DONATED THE ANIMALS AND CASH. AS FOR THE MOM, SHE HAD A MESSAGE FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO GENEROUSLY REACHED OUT. WHAT DO YOU SAY? YOU BESIDES. THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR. FOR HELPING ME. THANK YOU FOR GIVING MY SON AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS. PROBABLY THE MOST AMAZING CHRISTMAS WILL EVER HAVE. NOW, THE MOM SAYS IN ADDITION TO USING THE MONEY FOR A DOWNPAYMENT ON A NEW VEHICLE, SHE’LL ALSO USE SOME OF THAT MONEY TO GET HER AND HER SON OUT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE THEY’RE LIVING TO A MORE SAFER SPOT WHEN IT COMES TO THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CAR THEFT, I’M TOLD, AND NO ONE HAS BEEN ARRESTED AT THIS TIME. REPORTING LIVE FROM NEW ORLEANS, SHAY O’CONNOR WDSU NEWS. WHAT A GREAT UPDATE AND SEEING HOW FOLKS ARE GIVING TO THOSE THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW. THAT’S WHAT FOLKS DO IT HERE IN LOUISIANA. IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE THAT OUTPOURI
