Courtis Fuller among six people inducted into WLWT Hall of Fame

SARAH. THIS YEAR IS WLWT, ITS 75TH ANNIVERSARY, AND TO CELEBRATE OUR SPECIAL CONNECTION WITH YOU, THE COMMUNITY. WE STARTED OUR VERY OWN HALL OF FAME. SO HERE’S THE COMMITTEE’S FIRST CLASS OF SIX, LED BY RUTH LYONS, BOB BRAUN, THE LATE, GREAT JERRY SPRINGER, LONG TIME SALES STAR JERRY MSEC, AND WALTER BARTLETT, FORMER PRESIDENT OF EARL W.T. AND WE’RE GOING TO LET OUR GENERAL MANAGER, BRANDON FRANZ, DO THE HONORS FOR OUR FINAL INDUCTEE. WE ACTUALLY HAVE ONE PERSON IN THIS ROOM THAT WILL ALSO BE INDUCTED AND THAT THAT INDIVIDUAL IS MR. COURTIS FULLER. AND CURTIS. HE WAS SURPRISED HE SHOULDN’T, THOUGH. HE DESERVES THAT. CURTIS FULLER, 35 YEARS OF WLWT, LONGTIME ANCHOR, REPORTER, HOST A TRUE FORCE HERE IN GREATER CINCINNATI AND THE COMMUNITY. PLENTY OF HUGS TO GO AROUND TODAY AND HONOR WELL-DESERVED FOR A CLASS ACT. I THANK YOU. I MEAN, THIS IS, WE ALWAYS SAY, THE HIGHEST HONOR. TRUST ME, AFTER 35 YEARS, THIS IS TRULY THE HIGHEST HONOR I’VE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE. SO THIS MEANS THIS MEANS THE WORLD TO ME. THANK YOU SO. CURTIS AND THE OTHER FIVE WILL HAVE THEIR NAMES ON THE WALL OF FAME RIGHT HERE AT WLWT. IT WAS A BIG SURPRISE FOR HIM. WE WERE KEEPING IT A SECRET FOR WEEKS AND WEEKS NOW, BUT SO THRILLED FOR CURTIS. YOU COULD JUST SEE HIS GENUINE REACTION THERE AND HOW GRATEFUL HE WAS AND HONORED. BUT TO SO MANY OF THOSE WHO PASSED ON AND WHO ARE STILL HERE WITH US, THESE ARE HARD WORKERS. AND TO BE SIX PEOPLE OVER 75 YEARS CHOSEN QUITE THE HONOR. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT LIES

On Thursday, WLWT anchor and reporter Courtis Fuller was one of six people inducted into the WLWT Hall of Fame.Fuller's induction was a surprise announcement on Thursday afternoon."This has been a crazy year, and it still is, but I thank you," Fuller said. "Trust me, after 35 years, this is truly the highest honor I have ever received. This means the world to me."In addition to Fuller, five more people were inducted into the WLWT Hall of Fame, which was started in honor of the station's 75th anniversary in 2023.Ruth Lyons, Bob Braun, Jerry Springer, longtime sales star Jerry Imsicke and former president of WLWT Walter Bartlett were inducted into the Hall of Fame.The six inductees will now have their names on the Wall of Fame at WLWT.
