Northern Kentucky's Marques Warrick hit a deep 3-pointer as time expired to give the Norse a 57-56 win over Cleveland State Thursday night.
NKU's Sam Vinson hurried the ball up the court with the Norse trailing 56-54 before dishing it off to Warrick who drained a 3-pointer from the logo to win the game.
Warrick scored a game-high 19 points, including making 4 of 5 3-pointers he attempted. Vinson chipped in with 16 and Xavier Rhodes had eight points and a game-high six assists.
Tristan Enaruna had 15 points in a losing effort for Cleveland State.

Both schools entered the night tied atop a crowded Horizon League standings with 6-2 records. NKU improves to 12-8 overall and 7-3 in conference. Cleveland State drops to 11-9 and 6-3 in the Horizon.
The Norse return to action Saturday at 6 p.m. when they host Purdue Fort Wayne at Truist Arena.
