Lakota West quarterback Mitch Bolden will continue his football career for the Army Black Knights at the U.S. Military Academy.
The 6-foot-1 signal-caller was the Greater Miami Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 while also earning first-team all-district and all-state honors.
Bolden led the Firebirds to the Division I regional finals with a final record of 13-1 last season. Bolden threw for 2,741 yards with 30 touchdowns to seven interceptions while also gaining 775 yards and 14 more scores with the rushing attack.
Bolden had varsity experience in each of his four seasons and in three years as the primary starter led Lakota West to a 32-4 record overall with a 22-0 mark in GMC contests.
The Black Knights offered Bolden on March 24 of last year. Bolden also held offers from Marshall, Western Michigan and Dartmouth among others.
