CITY COUNCIL IS HONORING THE JOE BURROW FOUNDATION FOR ITS EFFORTS IN AIDING CHILDREN IMPACTED BY MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. COUNCIL MEMBER ASL SETH WALSH PRESENTED THE FOUNDATION WITH A RESOLUTION AT CITY HALL THIS MORNING. AMY FLOYD, THE FOUNDATION’S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SAYS BOROUGH WANTS TO BE A VOICE FOR KIDS WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND FOOD INSECURITY ISSUES. THEREFORE, ROBIN BURROW IS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL AND SHE BROUGHT HOME THESE STORIES TO JOE. HE HEARD THE CHALLENGES THAT KIDS ARE GOING THROUGH, AND IT’S NOT GOTTEN ANY BETTER. The inaugural Joe Burrow Foundation golf invitational teed off today at the Coldstream Country Club, a private club in Cincinnati.Among the celebrity guests at the event were Louisiana State University football coach Brian Kelly, sports broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit and Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor.The invitational raised money for the mission of the Joe Burrow Foundation, providing resources to underprivileged and underserved people.Last month, The Joe Burrow Foundation launched the return of From the Bayou to Greater Cincinnati: Let's Do Good competition, pitting two cities close to Burrow's heart against one another in a friendly competition.Until June 6, fans can purchase either Cincinnati Bengals or LSU Tigers-themed Joe Burrow gear from Ohio-based Where I'm From apparel. 100% of profits will be donated to the Joe Burrow Foundation.Last year, Bengals and Tigers fans combined to raise over $65,000 during the competition, with more Bengals-inspired items sold than LSU-inspired items, accounting for more than 2,800 of the 4,600 total items purchased.Do Good apparel from Where I'm From can be purchased by clicking here.
