Massachusetts first responders rescue horse trapped in ice

A Massachusetts horse has been returned to its owners after becoming trapped in ice in a rural area.Members of the Warwick Fire Department were called to the scene after someone spotted the horse in the water covered in a thin sheet of ice. Water rescue and horse rescue equipment was brought to the scene.First responders geared up with cold water suits and ropes to help guide the horse out of the water by breaking a path through the ice. First responders said the horse was successfully recovered from the water and returned to its homeowner. Warwick is located in Franklin County, in North Central Massachusetts.
