When to expect peak foliage in Ohio, Kentucky

While the trees around Greater Cincinnati are still showing the greens of summer, autumn is on the horizon and leaf color change will soon be on the way. 

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources typically begins tracking fall colors weekly at the end of September, with the season coming to an close near the end of October. 

The Kentucky Department of Tourism says color changes usually begin as early as September in the higher elevations of the eastern mountains, and gradually progress to the west during October and into early November.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, peak fall color dates are predicted this year in the tri-state area during October, with more specific dates depending on the region. Here are the probable dates:
