Crews battle massive, multiple-alarm fire in Camp Washington


Cincinnati fire crews are on the scene of a large fire on Arlington Street.Fire crews received a call around 9 a.m. Saturday about flames coming from a building at the corner of Arlington Street and Colerain Avenue.First responders tell WLWT that the fire is coming from the Reliable Castings building. The building is just across the street from the city of Cincinnati Public Services building.The fire was upgraded to a seven-alarm fire Saturday afternoon.Crews are beginning the demolition process of the structure because the fire chief says it is unstable.There are no injuries reported from the fire.The last time the city of Cincinnati experienced a fire of this magnitude was back in 2003, during the Queen City Barrel Fire.The fire later spread to an adjacent building and crews were able to control both situations.Fire Chief Michael Washington said flames did not enter the nearby Crosley structure, but first responders were prepared in case they had to jump into action.This is a developing story and WLWT will update with more information as we learn more.
