It was all in front of them on Jan. 1. The Cincinnati Bearcats led the Georgia Bulldogs and appeared to be en route to the biggest win in program history. Then, the end of the game happened, the Bulldogs celebrated and the rest is history.
Fast forward to the final day of the year and the Bearcats face the most dominant program of the past decade-plus in the Cotton Bowl Classic for a chance to get to the National Championship game on Jan. 10.
Can the Bearcats complete the mission? The folks who get paid to make the odds bettors will lay money on say it's a two-score-ish game (remember the line is set where the money will be most evenly spread, not necessarily indicative of the true advantage one team has). So, the Bearcats are again double-digit underdogs to a SEC team in a bowl.
