Jayden Taylor announced Monday via Twitter that he's decided to enter the transfer portal after two seasons with the Butler Bulldogs, and the Xavier Musketeers and Cincinnati Bearcats are among schools who have reached out to the 6-foot-4 guard from Indianapolis, according to multiple reports.
Stockrisers' Jake Weingarten reported the interest in Taylor from XU and UC, as well as Iowa State, Minnesota and Northwestern.
Taylor was the Bulldogs' leading scorer this past season as a sophomore, with 12.9 points per game. He added 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
In Butler's 69-67 win against XU in February, Taylor had a game-high 20 points and team-high six rebounds.
In the Bulldogs' 78-66 loss earlier this month at Cintas Center, Taylor had a team-high 16 points.
Butler finished 14-18 in Thad Matta's first season as head coach. Matta was XU's head coach from 2001 to 2004.
