The ToddFather responded by saying it was good to see Ruby again, calling him "my guy for life."
Frazier received a huge ovation from the crowd as he threw a strike to Reds catcher and former Covington Catholic High School standout Luke Maile before the game Thursday. The New Jersey native, who announced his retirement from baseball nearly one year ago, last played in the MLB for the Pirates.
Frazier hit .257 with 108 home runs and 324 RBIs in five seasons in Cincinnati. He was an All-Star with the Reds in 2014 and 2015, and he won the Home Run Derby at Great American Ball Park in 2015.
