Ohio’s Free Fishing Days fall on Father’s Day weekend this year

Ohioans can fish for free during the state's Free Fishing Days.Anglers are invited to take part in the annual free fishing weekend, which happens to be Father's Day weekend, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.On June 17 and 18, all Ohio residents are invited to experience Ohio’s public fishing opportunities without purchasing a license. All size and bag limits apply during these two days.Ohio’s Free Fishing Days are open to all Ohio residents and extend to all of Ohio’s public waters, including Lake Erie and the Ohio River. This is the only weekend all year that does not require anyone 16 years old or older to obtain a fishing license. In Kentucky and Indiana, free fishing days fall on June 3 and 4.
