Montgomery Road at Cleneay in Norwood has reopened following a crash on Monday.The road was closed after a crash near Xavier's campus. According to WLWT's Brian Hamrick, witnesses to the crash say two people were taken from the scene by ambulance.Security video from Rally’s Car Wash shows a Toyota Corolla slam into a series of poles coming to rest in front of the VW dealership on Montgomery Road.Police said the car was stolen. They started the chase about a mile away, but investigators said it quickly became apparent that the vehicle was going too fast to pursue. Police said they called off the chase before the crash, but the vehicle didn’t slow down.Brandon Prayer was driving northbound on Montgomery with his young daughter in the vehicle when he saw the Corolla headed southbound but swerving in front of him after hitting the curb on the northbound side of the road.“She was coming to me, head-on. Man, I'm not going to lie to you. I got my baby in there, man. I had to yank it to the oncoming traffic, the opposite lane. But luckily nobody was there,” Prayer said. “Pretty scary, definitely when you got your kid in the car.”Police have not yet named the women involved. Investigators said they had severe, life-threatening injuries.
