Blue ice cream, a trip up the Eiffel Tower and shrieks from roller coaster riders – Kings Island's opening day is around the corner.
Yet another sign warmer weather is fast approaching, the Mason amusement park will open for the first day of its 2023 season this month.
Kings Island celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. In September, it was named the 2022 amusement park of the year by Amusement Today.

When does Kings Island open in 2023?
Kings Island will open to the public April 15.
The theme park will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 15, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 16. After that, it will be open on some weekend days in April before opening up for more weekdays in late May.

- Coasterstock, an international event for roller coaster lovers, is May 19-20.

- WinterFest starts Nov. 24.

What's new this year?
Adventure Port, a new themed area, debuts at Kings Island this year. Located between the Coney Mall and Action Zone, Adventure Port is themed after "the myths of an ancient civilization and its mighty city," according to the amusement park's website. The area will feature two new rides, Sol Spin and Cargo Loco, as well as the Mercado and Enrique’s quick serve restaurant.
