The Ohio Department of Transportation announced a scheduled traffic shift in eastern Hamilton County as part of an ongoing bridge rehabilitation project beginning next week. According to officials, the westbound U.S. 50 contraflow lane will be removed on Monday, Jan. 30 and a contraflow lane will be implemented in the eastbound direction between the Beechmont Avenue ramp and the Red Bank exit. Once the contraflow lane is in place crews will demolish the eastbound structure. Officials say this traffic pattern will remain in place through the late spring. The rehabilitation project will cover the two bridges located on Columbia Parkway over Heekin Avenue and the westbound ramp to Eastern Avenue. The project will involve full deck replacements and substructure repairs, among other things. For live traffic updates, click here.
