Police said officers arrived within minutes and exchanged gunshots with the suspect and the suspect was killed by police.The shooter has been identified as Connor Sturgeon, 25. Police said he was employed at Old National Bank. Police said Sturgeon used a rifle in the shooting. Police said Sturgeon was livestreaming during the shooting. The deceased victims have been identified as Thomas Elliot, 63; James Tutt, 64; Josh Barrick, 40 and Juliana Farmer, 45. "We lost four children of God today, one of whom was one of my closest friends Tommy Elliott," Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said. "He helped me build my law career, helped me become governor. Gave me advice on being a good dad. He's one of the people I talk to most in the world, and very rarely are we talking about my job. He was an incredible friend. We also lost Juliana Farmer, Jim Tutt, Josh Barrick, each amazing people whose families grieve them."Police said three people remain in critical condition at the hospital, including LMPD officer Nickolas Wilt, 26, who was shot in the head. Police said he is out of brain surgery and is in critical but stable condition. Police said Wilt had just graduated from the police academy on March 31. Three other victims are in non-critical condition and three more have been treated and released. Late Monday night, Louisville Metro police confirmed a fifth victim had died from their injuries. Police said 57-year-old Deana Eckert passed away Monday evening. "This was an evil act of targeted violence," Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said. This story will be updated.
