Two people were killed in a fiery car crash Saturday night in Warren County, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol news release.
Patrol officials said around 11:30 p.m., Mary Huelsman, 57, was driving southbound on Ohio 48 in a Kia Telluride when it collided with a Chevrolet Malibu that was traveling eastbound. The cars went off the right side of the roadway and both struck a utility pole.
Sgt. Matthew Beccaccio told The Enquirer that the Malibu caught fire and its two occupants died. The bodies could not be identified due to their burns.
One of the drivers failed to yield to a traffic light at the intersection, but it isn't clear at this point in the investigation who was at fault, Beccaccio said.
The crash is still under investigation.
