A Turpin High School employee has resigned after an investigation into inappropriate communication between the employee and a former student.In a statement, Forest Hills School District Superintendent Larry Hook says that the district accepted the staff member's resignation, and it will be submitted for approval during Wednesday night's Board of Education meeting."During the course of the investigation, the district verified that communication with a former student did occur, which was immediately reported to both local law enforcement and the Ohio Department of Education's Office of Professional Conduct," Hook said in the statement.Hook further states that upon learning of the allegations, the staff member was placed on administrative leave and has not reported to work since."I would also like to emphasize that our investigation into this matter did not reveal any involvement of current Forest Hills students," Hook's statement continued. "Nevertheless, this behavior is unacceptable and is not tolerated by Forest Hills School District. The district takes all allegations of this nature seriously and works to investigate the matters fully to ensure we respond with appropriate actions."
