Warm weather returns along with threat for heavy rain

Get ready for spring fever! A warm-up starts today and will through the weekend. We'll wake up to sunshine and a few clouds this morning. That will come in tandem with chilly temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. Highs will reach the low 50s later this afternoon. If you are headed to Bockfest's Parade, it kicks off at 6 p.m. and it should be around 50 degrees. Clouds will increase through the evening.Overnight looks mostly cloudy — that will help keep our lows in more comfortable ranges. Everyone wakes up to the low and mid-40s.Any clouds Saturday morning will clear out early, leaving a beautiful start to the weekend. Highs will rise to the low 70s Saturday afternoon. This means great for the FCC Home Opener. Temperatures will be mild in the mid-to-upper 60s for the game. Lows Saturday night will fall to around 60 degrees.A round of downpours and some thunder will be possible after midnight Saturday and closer to sunrise Sunday. This will end early Sunday, leaving much of the daytime hours dry, and salvageable to enjoy. Highs again near 70. More rain will arrive with another storm center after dark Sunday and into Monday. One to 2-plus inches of rain is expected and could result in new high water issues by Monday evening.Stay tuned.
