"But a big part of our plans was to be a major venue for these massive sports attractions."Baseball season translates to big business for restaurants and bars at The Banks.The parade and party to follow draws of tens of thousands to the downtown stretch, but expectations for the first weekend in April may have to be adjusted."It'll impact the morale more than anything," Castelli continued. "Cincinnati has a lot to be proud of right now and we're proud of our Redlegs: We're the oldest franchise in baseball and the notion that we might not play on time when we expected to play? It's going to be tough."With the threat of regular season games being lost, and with Spring Training games having been canned through March 8, restaurants are worrying about what's next?"It's a profound role that MLB is playing in the economics of many cities and small market cities like Cincinnati, especially wherein the businesses, especially in downtown proper, that are reliant on events happening that bring people in from the suburbs."The Reds would be one of the teams hit especially hard by a shortened season: The first six games of the year are scheduled to be played at Great American Ball Park, as well as eight of the first 12 games to the year overall.
