The massive field of Cincinnati City Council candidates will be set on Tuesday when the Hamilton County Board of Elections certifies the candidates.
It will likely be the largest number of candidates in at least two decades.
There were 43 candidates who filed for Cincinnati City Council. Of those, Hamilton County Board of Elections staff found 32 candidates had sufficient signatures and met all the requirements, said Hamilton County County Board of Elections Director Sherry Poland.
An additional nine candidates are still under review. Two candidates have withdrawn.
The four-member Hamilton County Board of Elections will make the final determination on who gets on the ballot at its Tuesday meeting. The board of elections will also vote to certify the wide-ranging Cincinnati charter amendment and city council slates for Madeira, Springdale and Amberley Village.
