Lawrenceburg’s Goepper to go for gold in slopestyle final at Beijing Games


Lawrenceburg native Nick Goepper is one of three Americans set to compete in Wednesday's (Beijing time) freeski slopestyle final.In Monday night's qualification run, Goepper finished third, with a best run of 82.51, behind only Norway's Birk Rudd (83.96) and Switzerland's Andri Ragettli (85.08).Also qualifying for the United States are Alaska's Alexander Hall (qualified in fifth place with a score of 79.13) and New Hampshire's Colby Stevenson (sixth place, 78.01).The freeski slopestyle final is set to run Wednesday morning in Beijing or 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night local time.
