The National Football League's awards show to recognize the best players, performances and plays from this past season - "NFL Honors" - is scheduled to air Thursday night.
But Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow already has won Nickelodeon's most valuable player award - the "NFL Slimetime NVP of NVPs."

Burrow won the weekly NVP award for Week 16. He met SpongeBob and was slimed.
In 2020, the Bengals tweeted photos celebrating Burrow's impressive SpongeBob pocket-square game.
Burrow's teammate, rookie receiver Ja'Marr Chase, won Nickelodeon's weekly award for Weeks 7 and 17.
Awards were given to players with the top performances of the week, per fan voting.
In October, Chase appeared with Nickelodeon NFL insider Dylan Schefter for a Slimetime video. It included Chase's explanation of the origin of his touchdown dance - "The Griddy" - in addition to a performance of it.
Last week, Chase was named 2021 Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year.
