Cincinnati Bengals fans headed to the Los Angeles area for Super Bowl LVI festivities may want to put another L.A. restaurant on their list.
Domata Peko, who played for the Bengals from 2006 to 2016 (11 seasons), runs a restaurant in West Hollywood called Trocadero on Sunset.
And of course the restaurant is going all in on the Bengals. Trocadero is hosting a Super Bowl watch party on Sunday. The party will feature specials and giveaways, including Bengals Super Bowl merchandise.
"Me and my wife have been running a cool little restaurant in Hollywood," Peko told CBS Sports QQ. "If you guys are out in the L.A. area and can't afford tickets to the game, come out to Sunset Trocadero this weekend. We're having a big Super Bowl watch party for all the Bengals fans."
The event is free and Peko said he plans to sign autographs.
Peko's wife, Anna, runs the restaurant that serves a variety of food from seafood favorites to tacos.
Peko also made some news.
Domata Peko plans to officially retire
Peko didn't play in 2021 and joked that he was likely to file retirement papers after the season after no team showed interest in the 37-yea-old.
"Everyone asks ' are you retired?'" he joked. "No one called me yet so I guess I am going to retire."
He said he plans to make it official after the Super Bowl.
"I'm still waiting (for a call). Hopefully the Bengals will give me a call today," he joked.
Domata Peko's 15 year career
Peko was a fourth round pick out of Michigan State by the Bengals in 2006 and played 11 season and in six playoff games with the Bengals.
The 6-foot-3, 325 pound defensive tackle with the hair flowing from out of his helmet was a fan favorite.
He started 156 games for the Bengals.
Peko signed with Denver in 2017 and played for Baltimore in 2019 and Arizona in 2020.
Domata Peko is taking the Bengals over the Rams. But how do they win?
When asked about the line play, Peko said he'd make sure Aaron Donald is blocked.
"Every play I'm double-teaming (Aaron Donald) making sure he's not the reason we're going to lose the game," he said.
He added" "The way Joey B has been playing, man, I feel like he does good under pressure. He's able to escape show his composure that guys like Tom (Brady), Peyton (Manning) have. That stuff is really exciting to see."
And his pick?
"I think the Bengals are going to win it with a nice field goal," he said. "(Evan) McPherson is on point. Let's get him a Super Bowl game-winning field goal to end the season."
