On Sunday, Dearborn County Water Rescue was paged out to a stranded man in a creek.According to officials, they were paged around noon about a man stranded on a houseboat on Laughery Creek, who got stuck in ice. The rescue was successful. The Dearborn County Water Rescue was assisted by Ohio County Fire and EMS and the Ohio County Sheriff's Department. Officials said this was the third water rescue call this weekend. As water levels rise due to snow and ice melting, it is reminded to the public the risks and dangers associated with entering floodwaters and fast-moving currents either in a vehicle, boat or on foot.
