Xavier University has modified its COVID-19 entrance policy for Cintas Center, the school announced in a Monday press release.
Fans will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result to attend home games.
"With the decline of COVID cases on Xavier University’s campus and in Hamilton County, Xavier has announced that the fan entry policy instituted previously for Cintas Center has been modified," the school said.
"Guests entering Cintas Center will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative test for entry. Fans will still be required to wear a mask throughout the duration of the event, unless actively eating or drinking."
Xavier's previous policy was put in place during the first week of January.
Xavier's men's basketball team has two home games this week – Butler on Wednesday and DePaul on Saturday.
The school added it will continue to monitor the COVID environment and will communicate potential adjustments.
