One man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Boone County Saturday night, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a crash on the exit ramp from Interstate 275 to North Bend Road in Hebron, Kentucky.
According to the sheriff's office, the driver of a 2011 Chevy Silverado was traveling on the exit ramp from I-275 westbound to northbound North Bend Road when they failed to navigate the right-hand curve and exited on the left side of the road.
The vehicle then continued off the road and travel approximately 428 feet before striking a concrete sign post, the sheriff's office said.
The driver has now been identified as Ronald Ross, 47, from Hebron, Kentucky.
Hebron Fire and EMS extricated Ross from the vehicle and transported him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center via AirCare. He was pronounced deceased a short time after arriving to the hospital.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating into the crash. According to the sheriff's office, speed and alcohol impairment appear to be initial factors in the crash.
Ross was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
