A driver is dead after a crash along I-275 in Hebron on Saturday.It happened around 9:15 p.m. when officers were called to a crash on the exit ramp from westbound Interstate 275 to northbound North Bend Road.Police said the driver was on the exit ramp when the car failed to negotiate the right hand curve and went off the roadway on the left side. The car continued off the road in an embankment before hitting a concrete sign post base. The driver was extricated and transported by Aircare to UC Medical Center with life threatening injuries.Shortly after, the driver was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 47-year-old Ronald Ross.The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Speed and alcohol impairment do appear to be initial factors in the collision, and the driver was not wearing a seat belt, the sheriff's office said.
