Saturday, Jan. 29 is the last day of operation for Little Dutch Bakery in Mount Healthy, Ohio. The bakery is located at 7611 Hamilton Ave. in Cincinnati and has been operating under three generations for 101 years.The owners, Chris and Mary Girmann, decided to close the bakery after all these years due to many of the same struggles that small businesses all over the country are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic.Chris does most, if not all of the baking, and was hit with COVID-19 himself in the fall, forcing him to close down the business for several weeks.
