

St. Bernard Elmwood Place City Schools are closed Wednesday due to a gas leak in the area.Cincinnati Fire said a propane situation tank was leaking at a construction site by the school near Tower Avenue.They said the tanks have been capped and residents are safe but may notice the smell of fumes as the gas continues to dissipate.Areas being affected most at this time are North Avondale, Hyde Park, and Columbia-Tusculum. Duke Energy said winds took the plume and carried the smell as far as Anderson Township. Fire departments all around the area have been getting calls from people who smell the fumes. Hamilton County EMA said residents may notice the odor as the wind moves the gas from west to east.
