The Cincinnati Bengals will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium at 3 p.m. ET.
After defeating the Buffalo Bills in the final divisional round game in overtime, the Chiefs and Bengals are set for a rematch. Cincinnati won the first meeting in Week 17 at Paul Brown Stadium, 34-31. The Chiefs will be hosting in the AFC title game for the third consecutive year.
Not much has changed with Kansas City since the Jan. 2 meeting. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his talented skill players continue to rise to the occasion. Mahomes threw for 404 yards and five touchdowns in the Chiefs’ wild-card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and followed it up with an even more impressive performance against the Bills. The former NFL MVP rushed for 69 yards and threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns against Buffalo.

Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce played one of his best games of the season catching eight passes for 96 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill was electric in the win over the Bills as he caught 11 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown.
The Bengals were able to limit Kelce in the first matchup to five catches for 25 yards and one touchdown. It was Mecole Hardman and Hill who caused problems for Cincinnati’s defense. Hill was Mahomes’ top target with six catches for 40 yards.
On defense, the Chiefs continue to be one of the most opportunistic units in the NFL. Kansas City recorded 29 takeaways during the regular season.
