Joe Burrow stays in bounds, finds Tyler Boyd for touchdown

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (83) catches a touchdown pass in the second quarter during an NFL AFC wild-card playoff game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw his second touchdown of the first half of Saturday's 26-19 playoff win against the Raiders at Paul Brown Stadium to receiver Tyler Boyd to give the Bengals a 20-6 lead.

Burrow let go of the 10-yard TD pass late in the second quarter just before stepping out of bounds.

On social media, some suggested that an erroneous whistle an official may have blown should have ended the play and negated Boyd's catch.

Burrow and Bengals head coach Zac Taylor both smiled as they told reporters after the game that they did not hear a whistle.
