The 2021 college football season is in the books, with Georgia emerging as the national champion after its dramatic defeat of Alabama in the national championship game on Monday.
The Bulldogs were the unanimous choice at the top of the USA TODAY Sports AFCA coaches poll.
Conventional wisdom would hold that the four teams who were selected for the College Football Playoff, would be the nearly unanimous top four teams on the ballots for the final USA TODAY Sports AFCA coaches poll of the season. Georgia, Alabama, Michigan and Cincinnati were ranked in the first four spots when Tuesday's Top 25 was released; however, there wasn't unanimity for the Wolverines or Bearcats - losers of the two semifinals - in the top four.
