Former Cincinnati Bearcats defensive line coach Chad Wilt, who spent the past two seasons as the Minnesota Golden Gophers' defensive line coach, is expected to be named the Indiana Hoosiers' new defensive coordinator, according to multiple reports Monday.

Two years ago, Wilt joined Minnesota's coaching staff after one season on Luke Fickell's staff at UC.

Wilt, 43, joined the Bearcats in Feb. 2019 after three seasons at Army. Before that, he coached at Maryland, Ball State, Richmond, Virginia, Liberty and Central Connecticut State.

Wilt started coaching in 2001 after playing at Taylor University.

Charlton Warren, IU's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach this past season, left late last week to become North Carolina's co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.
