Fifth-year senior quarterback and one-time outgoing Cincinnati Bearcats transfer Ben Bryant is returning to head coach Luke Fickell's program.
UC on Friday received a transfer commitment from Bryant, who publicly acknowledged the move on Twitter following one season as the starting quarterback at Eastern Michigan after he started his career with UC in 2018.
After experiencing a redshirt season with UC in 2018 and limited action in the two years that followed, Bryant played in all 13 games during Eastern Michigan's 7-6 2021 season.

With Desmond Ridder departing UC following his historic run at the program, Bryant should add meaningful depth and experience to the Bearcats' quarterback room.
Quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli is expected to oversee a competition for the starting job between redshirt sophomore Evan Prater and the incoming Lipscomb Academy (Tennessee) product, Luther Richesson.
