In a vote that ended Jan. 7, Cincinnati.com readers selected the Cincinnati Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Mercy Health, from high school sports action through Jan. 2.
Winners through the end of 2021 should have received a certificate through the school's athletic department.

This week's winners are:
Ohio boys basketball team: Badin – The Rams jumped over the .500 mark after winning at Springboro 69-65 and against Summit Country Day 50-45.
Ohio girls basketball team: Summit Country Day – Summit Country Day has won seven-straight games after beating Meadowdale 64-25 and Milford 67-56.
Northern Kentucky boys basketball team: Campbell County – The Camels have won four of their last five after beating Anderson County 77-57 and Franklin County 58-47 in the Nicholas County Holiday Classic.
Northern Kentucky girls basketball team: Conner – The Lady Cougars have won seven of their last eight games after beating Wayne 61-33 before a close 42-39 win over Lakota West.
Boys winter team of the week: St. Xavier swimming – The Bombers easily handled St. Ignatius in a dual meet, taking a 196-89 win, winning all but one individual event.
Girls winter team of the week: St. Ursula swimming – St. Ursula cruised in a tri-match win over Ursuline Academy and Notre Dame. The Bulldogs won seven events, scoring 143 points.
Ohio boys basketball big school player: Roman Severt, La Salle – He had 22 points and a pair of steals as La Salle raced past Colerain, 71-54, Dec. 30.
Ohio boys basketball small school player: Isaiah McConnal, Cincinnati College Prep – McConnal had 16 points and seven rebounds as CCPA raced past Thurgood Marshall, 91-82, Dec. 29.
Ohio girls basketball big school player: Kailee Bransford, Mount Notre Dame – Bransford knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and finished with 11 points and four rebounds to help the Cougars beat Centerville, 66-58, Dec. 28.
Ohio girls basketball small school player: Mari Gerton, Summit Country Day – Gerton had 15 points, six assists and three steals in Summit’s 67-56 win over Milford Dec. 30.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana boys basketball player: Daniel Campbell, Conner – He averaged 18 points and nine rebounds in three wins by the Cougars in a holiday tournament at Louisville Eastern.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana girls basketball player: Madelyn Lawson, Dixie Heights – She averaged 22 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games last week, including 29 and eight in a double-overtime loss to one of the state’s top teams, George Rogers Clark.
Boys bowler: Parker Lauders, Western Brown – He bowled a 499 (266, 233) in the Dec. 20 loss to Wilmington.
Girls bowler: Kylie Fisher, Wilmington – She had a 419 (226 high game) in the win over Western Brown Dec. 20.
Boys swimmer/diver: Max Christensen, Springboro – The junior won the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:46.03 in the 2021 Brave Invitational Dec. 21, helping Springboro to a fifth-place team finish.
Girls swimmer/diver: Annette Eng, Springboro – The junior won the 200 freestyle at the 2021 Brave Invitational Dec. 21 with a time of 2:04.71, helping Springboro to a second-place team finish.
Boys wrestling: Dashaun Stevenson, Holmes – He won the NKAC championship at 285 pounds and is 16-0 overall.
Girls wrestling: Isabella Savage, Taylor – The junior won her 105-pound weight class at the Watkins High School Girls Wrestling Tournament Dec. 29.
