The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library system is reducing hours of operation at all 41 of its locations for several days and possibly longer, officials said Monday.
From Tuesday through Saturday, libraries will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a news release.
Locations that have Sunday hours will remain open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., officials said.

The library system's virtual information center will maintain regular hours and can be reached at 513-369-6900.
Virtual information center hours are:
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
"The well-being of our staff and community is important, and we will re-assess on Jan. 7 to determine if we need to extend the temporary hours beyond Jan. 8," the release states. "Thank you for your flexibility during these uncertain times."
Also citing staff wellness amid a surge of COVID-19 cases across Greater Cincinnati, several Cincinnati area institutions have announced temporary closures.
Last week, the Cincinnati Art Museum announced it will halt operations from Jan. 3-12 to give staff a chance to focus on health and wellness, with officials saying the pandemic only indirectly contributed to the pause.
And the Taft Art Museum is halting all on-site, nonessential operations from Jan. 3-13 due to concerns over the pandemic.
