With the emergence of the COVID-19 omicron variant, testing availability has become harder to come by in certain parts of the country ahead of the holidays.
On Tuesday, the White House announced it will deploy 1,000 military medical personnel to support hospitals in response to the omicron surge and is purchasing 500 million at-home tests for Americans to use for free beginning in January.
But many Americans will be in need of tests as soon as possible as they prepare for holiday gatherings.
Ohio reported its highest single-day number of cases on Tuesday and some testing locations like the Columbus Metropolitan Library have run out of COVID-19 test kits.
The Cincinnati Public Library on Tuesday said it received 200 take-home tests, but by Wednesday afternoon announced on social media it was out of tests.
Though increasing in demand, limited tests are still available in the Greater Cincinnati area. Here is a list of where to secure a COVID-19 test before the holidays hit.
