Clovernook creating business cards to help the visually-impaired


Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is embarking on a collaboration with TriHealth to create accessible business cards for more than 11,000 health care professionals. It means that anyone who is blind or low vision will be able to easily access the information on a card that sighted people take for granted.Clovernook has traditionally been a provider of braille books and magazines, the world's largest with over 30 million pages produced a year. Recently though, the nonprofit expanded its expertise to address areas of inaccessibility in the workplace. They identify and find solutions for common communication challenges, and TriHealth is setting the standard as the first corporate sponsor.The cards include a QR code that uploads the information from the card directly into a recipient's contact list on their smartphone and reads the information aloud. It's simple but transformative technology in terms of making business accessible to everyone.
