Could this year be Greater Cincinnati's warmest Christmas yet?
With highs reaching near 66 on Dec. 25, temperatures may hit or break Cincinnati's previous record high temperatures for the holiday.
According to the National Weather Service's Christmas Day climatology report, which has kept records since 1871, the warmest high temperature recorded was 66 degrees in 1893. The coldest high temperature ever recorded was 3 degrees in 1983, and the coldest low temperature occurred the same year, reaching -12 degrees.
Typically, Cincinnati has generally seen highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s on Christmas Day.
There's also a chance of rain on Saturday, which is not unusual considering Cincinnati's previous Christmas Day data.
