A suspected bank robber is in the hospital after shooting himself following a robbery in Hyde Park, according to Cincinnati police executive assistant chief Terri Theetge.It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Eagles Savings Bank on Edwards Road near Hyde Park Square.Police said the man entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing.No one was injured during the robbery.Officers were then called to the area where they located someone who fit the description walking along the Wasson trail.Officers commanded the suspect to stop when he removed a firearm and shot himself in the head.He was taken to UC Hospital in serious condition.No further details have been released on the suspect.The investigation is ongoing anyone with information is asked to call police.
