Broncos’ Teddy Bridgewater carted off with head injury against Bengals

Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (5) is loaded into an ambulance after a play in the third quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Dec. 19.

Denver Broncos starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was carted off the field after he was tackled at the end of a scramble during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The crowd in Denver chanted "Ted-dy" as Bridgewater was loaded onto the cart. Bridgewater was replaced by Drew Lock, who threw a touchdown a short time later to Tim Patrick to give the Broncos their first lead of the game.

CBS' Evan Washburn reported that Bridgewater suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but did have movement in his extremities.

Bengals linebacker Joe Bachie - who made the initial hit on Bridgewater - suffered a left knee injury and was declared out.
