Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson has proven to be an outstanding signing for Cincinnati. So fans held their breath when Hendrickson injured his back and was ruled out during the third quarter for the rest of Sunday's Week 14 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers at Paul Brown Stadium.
On Monday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor shared good news - that Hendrickson suffered a back spasm during the game and is considered day-to-day, with the team hopeful that he'll only be limited during the first part of this week of practice.
More via Twitter from The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway:
Hendrickson has starred as a pass rusher in his first season with the team. During the first half Sunday, he extended his streak of games with a sack to nine - the longest active NFL streak and longest ever by a Bengal - by increasing his season total to 12.5.
The Bengals initially brought out a cart for Hendrickson, but he walked off under his own power to an ovation from the crowd.
