Manatees get scaly visitor in their building at Cincinnati Zoo


The manatees at the Cincinnati Zoo recently had a visitor come inside their building and it wasn't a human visitor — it was a scaly friend.Zoo officials said after its Burmese python, Nagini, had her annual physical exam, the keepers let her explore the Manatee Spring building. She got to crawl around the building before the zoo was open to the public.The zoo said the manatees were "surprisingly interested" in the python and it certainly shows from the photo they captured of Nagini crawling past their tank. All three manatees swam up to the glass to look at the python.This isn't the first time zoo officials have allowed animals to explore other exhibits outside of their own. Last month, the Cincinnati Zoo shared a video of cheetah Tom visiting the penguins.
