Northern Kentucky football coaches announce all-region awards

The Northern Kentucky Football Coaches Association announced its all-region honors at its Top 26 banquet Wednesday night.

The Top 26 is an annual award where each of the 20 high school football teams in the association select one player to receive an award and the coaches vote on six additional players to be honored for having outstanding seasons.

The six teams that had an extra player voted in were Bishop Brossart, Conner, Cooper, Covington Catholic, Highlands and Ryle.

The coaches also voted overall all-region teams, as well as an all-region team for each KHSAA class.
