A man was arrested Friday afternoon after a stabbing at a public park in Riverside, Cincinnati police said.
Police received multiple 911 calls around 2:30 p.m. regarding a man who was stabbing a woman near the playground area of Gilday Park, according to a department spokesperson.
The man, who hasn't been identified but is described as being in his 30s, didn't comply with police commands and an officer deployed their Taser, the spokesperson said. He was then taken into custody with charges pending.
Officials said the woman, who's in her mid 20s, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the stabbing is a "domestic incident."
The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by District 3 police.
